Description

Summer and an ice cold glass of good lemonade go hand in hand. Blackberry lemonade is my favorite new twist on the classic version. It’s a perfectly refreshing way to beat the summer heat.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SYRUP:
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • FOR THE LEMONADE:
  • 1 cup Blackberries, Plus More For Garnish If Desired
  • 1-¼ cup Lemon Juice, Fresh Squeezed Or Store-bought
  • 1-¾ cup Water
  • Mint Leaves, For Garnishing, If Desired
  • FOR THE SYRUP:
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • FOR THE LEMONADE:
  • 1 cup Blackberries, Plus More For Garnish If Desired
  • 1-¼ cup Lemon Juice, Fresh Squeezed Or Store-bought
  • 1-¾ cup Water
  • Mint Leaves, For Garnishing, If Desired

Preparation

1. Prepare a simple syrup by combining the sugar and water in a small pot on the stove. Bring to a boil and stir to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat. Allow to cool completely and then set aside.
2. Add the blackberries and lemon juice to a blender and blend until the blackberries have pureed.
3. Strain it into a clear pitcher. You’ve got to strain it to remove any chunks of blackberries and the seeds.
4. Add the remaining amount of water to the pitcher. Stir to evenly combine.
5. Add simple syrup, to taste.
6. Serve over ice, or chilled, and garnish (if desired) with mint leaves and a blackberry.
