Description
The are all of the fantastic flavors of a classic gyro inside of a burger patty. Kids and adults will love ‘em.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Beef, 80/20
- 2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
- ½ teaspoons Marjoram
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 2 Cucumbers, Divided
- 16 ounces, fluid Plain Greek Yogurt
- 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
- 6 leaves Mint, Minced
- Canola Oil For Brushing
- 4 Pita Bread Rounds
- ½ Red Onion, Finely Diced
- 4 ounces, weight Feta Cheese, Crumbled
- 1 Plum Tomato, Seeded And Diced

Preparation
Combine the beef, spices, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Let in sit in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Peel, seed, and grate 1 cucumber and drain until all moisture is removed. Combine drained cucumber, yogurt, salt, garlic, olive oil, and mint in a small bowl. Let sit in the fridge until ready to serve.
Preheat grill over medium-high heat, brush with canola oil. Form patties out of the meat mixture and grill 4 minutes per side. In the last 4 minutes, throw the pita rounds wrapped in foil on the grill. Remove the patties and round from the grill. Let rest for 3 minutes.
Peel, seed, and dice the remaining cucumber. Place a burger on top of the pita round. Top with the yogurt sauce, onions, cucumber, feta, and tomato.
