Preparation

Preheat your gill to medium heat.

Slice your hot dogs lengthwise down the center, but do not cut through the bottom. Press cheese strips into the sliced opening of the hot dogs. Wrap each with a piece of thick cut bacon. Use a half of a toothpick at the start and end of the bacon to hold bacon in place during grilling.

Grill hot dogs over medium heat until bacon is cooked through, and cheese is melted. Remove from grill and set aside.

Butter the cut side of the hot dogs buns. Place buns on the hot grates until nicely toasted. Serve hot dogs on the toasted buns with your choice of toppings.
